” A CHALLENGEE WORLD IS AN ALERT WORLD AND FROM CHALLENGE COMES CHANGE.

osea
Three generations of women were the inspiration and force behind this brand of clean, vegan and cruelty-free luxury skincare and bodycare. Founded by Jenefer Palmer and co-founded by CEO Melissa Palmer, Osea’s innovative formulations of certified organic, bioavailable seaweed are blended with pure steam-distilled and cold pressed essential oils.
“osea is the story of a long line of women inspired by the sea”
OSEA products are all plant-based and gluten-free, and cruelty-free and do not contain animal-derived ingredients such as lanolin, beeswax and carmine.
In 2002, OSEA became the first company to sign The Compact for Global Production of Safe Health and Beauty Products, an initiative from the Environmental Working Group.
Their mission is to ensure products are “free of chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects”, which aligns seamlessly with the ethos behind OSEA’s products.
Both Jenefer and Melissa Palmer were actively involved in campaigning, travelling to Washington DC and Sacramento to meet with legislators and continue to lobby for safe skincare.
MAAJI
Maaji is a whimsical swimwear brand founded by sisters Manuela and Amalia Sierra. The sisters affinity with the sea combined with a desire to do the right thing has inspired their culture of giving back and caring, which is achieved by practicing inclusion, transparency, embracing diversity, and taking care of the environment.
From planting more than 100,000 trees to leading beach clean-up efforts in Colombia, the United States, Guatemala and Israel, and supporting many local causes, Maaji is dedicated to making a difference to both the environment and for social justice.
In May 2020, Maaji joined forces with Tosh, Postobón, L’Occitane en Provence and Fokus Green to clean Playa Cueva in Santa Marta, Columbia, as a part of the Earth Warriors program.
Maaji’s swimwear collection “Return” is made with fabrics produced in Colombia and knitted with premium post-consumer recycled yarn from recovered plastic bottles and 71% recycled polyester and 29% elastane. This collection uses an Eco Digital printing process reducing water use by 98%. The overall production process produces 80% less CO2.
au naturale
Au Naturale cosmetics is both a brand & a cause, the line serving as physical evidence to the consumer that cleaner beauty is possible. Au Naturale doesn’t just fight for transparent regulation, they show the industry how it’s done. The integrity of the line is a pivotal piece in the company’s greater political battle to demand stricter regulation of cosmetic products in the United States.
Au Naturale was founded by Ashley Prange, who left her work as nuclear analyst to solve an even bigger challenge: to create a line of bold, long-lasting colour cosmetics without the harmful chemicals that led to her chronic breakouts, irritation and toxic load.
A trailblazer at heart, Ashley created a line of vegan, organic, paraben free and ethical makeup that is opening consumer minds to the importance of transparency and generating demand for continued change.
Products are handcrafted using colorants that are naturally derived, ethically sourced and purely processed for maximum colour, performance and safety, for example their titanium dioxide and iron oxides are Ecocert + COSMOS certified and whenever possible they use USDA Certified Organic ingredients.
All products are entirely non-toxic, paraben free and gluten free.
When ingredients aren’t certified organic they are pure minerals, and as they were never living they cannot be considered organic. Au Naturale do not test their products on animals and are a Leaping Bunny company, Peta approved cruelty-free and vegan.
KINDPRENEURS
Join KINDpreneurs, and support businesses that share compassion and acts of kindness to bring joy to others and make the world a better place by spreading a ripple of kindness.
With a mission focussed on ethical business, KINDprenurs is about supporting entrepreneurs, and connecting them with conscious shoppers who want to do their bit towards making the world a better place.
“Before setting up KINDpreneurs, I had my first ‘KINDpreneur’ adventure creating Conscious Crafties, a very successful marketplace supporting disabled entrepreneurs.
Like many social entrepreneurs we work tirelessly to help others, giving little thought to ourselves. I found there was very little support for heart-centred entrepreneurs using their business as a force for good. So along came KINDpreneurs, here to showcase purposeful kind businesses and the unsung entrepreneurs behind the brand.”
